by and large, it was great place for sightseeing in matsue, had much fun. adjacent to the downtown, 10 minutes on foot. best ryokan we have stayed in.

As expected from a traditional Japanese ryokan, there was no elevator, which made carrying our luggage to our room a bit of a workout. being located near a busy main road, we could hear some noise outside our room throughout the night.

The lake view from my spacious J-style room was breathtaking. It was located conveniently close to the JR station for my early train, and the city center was easily accessible by public transport.
